Though humans can survive at least a month without food, the human body cannot go a week without water. Lack of water in the human body for over a week will lead to death. That is mainly because close to 70 per cent of the body is made up of water.
Water is needed in every tissue, organ, and cell in the body.
Blood contains 50 percent water, and, for your body to function properly, blood needs to carry oxygen to all the cells in the body.
Water also improves circulation and blood flow.
So the more water you drink, the better your body will function.
